Stefano Bregni

Stefano Bregni was born in Milano, Italy, in 1965. He received his Dott. Ing. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan and his M.Sc. degree from the CEFRIEL Centre, Milano, where he worked for two years on analytical modelling of ATM statistical multiplexers and shared buffer switches.
In 1991 he joined SIRTI, where he has been mainly involved in SDH transmission systems testing and in network synchronization issues, with special regard to clock stability measurement techniques. Since 1994, he has been with CEFRIEL, where currently he is head of the Transmission Systems Dept.
Member of IEEE, he served on ETSI and ITU-T committees on network synchronization and he is author or co-author of several papers on these subjects.

Erhard P. Graf

Erhard P. Graf received the diploma degree (dipl. ing. ETHZ) in 1957 from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zuerich and the Ph.D. (Docteur es sciences) in 1970 from the University of Neuchatel in Switzerland.
After his activity as assistant in the high frequency department of ETHZ, he joined the Institute of Physics of the University of Neuchatel, where he worked mainly in fast pulse electronics for high energy nuclear physics research and as a lecturer of general electronics for students in physics.
Since 1971 he is head of R&D department of OSA-Oscilloquartz SA in Neuchatel. His main activities are in the field of ultra high stability frequency sources (Quartz, Cesium and Rubidium based) and in their applications for synchronization systems in telecommunications.
